Psychological Testing and Evaluation
for Children, Adolescents and Adults
Psychological testing and evaluation provides insight into an individual’s strengths and challenges. This process can provide differential diagnoses and can help guide therapy to be even more effective. Evaluations typically include an initial interview session, followed by one or more testing sessions during which specific psychological tests, such as intelligence or personality assessments, are administered. Following the evaluation, a feedback session is scheduled to discuss the results. A detailed report, including specific recommendations, is provided at the final session.
Examples of reasons for evaluation include confirming or exploring:
- ADHD diagnosis
- Changes in mood or behavior
- Intelligence or giftedness assessments
- Court ordered evaluations
- Personality assessments
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
